From time to time life presents us with the opportunity to remake ourselves…to leap into the abyss of faith and dare to believe we can be the artist, the doctor, the lawyer, the writer…whatever that secret (or not so secret!) desire we have harbored. Sometimes this opportunity can be carefully crafted over our career life, intentionally steered and the path laid out over decades, not an accident at all! And along the way, that path is likely to be intertwined with hurts and disappointments that will build character and resilience.

My own path to this point has been a mix of both intention and chance; a rewarding and exciting career in the energy industry, interspersed with personal experiences of acute loss and grief, borne with the help of some wonderful friends, family, and tremendous guides.

When the time was finally right for this life change, in addition to the academic and clinical preparation for my new profession as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I worked on learning more about myself, including my tendency towards self-condemnation, judgement, and self-doubt; in that work I’ve learned the value of getting out of my own way, and the incredible gift of self-compassion and forgiveness, and I’m eager to share those gifts and tools.

I feel so blessed to be in this chapter of my life and career and look forward to helping YOU succeed in stepping out with hope; working together we will explore how your life experiences have prepared you for what lies ahead, and the power YOU have to move your life in the direction you want it to go.
